Laundy Day

This is Eleanor "helping" me do the laundry. I think she looks like her cousin Matthew in this picture. These pj's make her look so grown up. Also, Eleanor has is waving bye bye now and she seems to favor her left hand. Is that an inherited trait? Do we have any lefties in the family on either side? Of course I think it is way too early to tell...just curious.

Jedi Training

What nice teeth you have!

Gettin' Bigger

As you can see, Eleanor is still growing although I think she has stopped growing quite as fast as she was. She is usually a very good natured girl unless she is hungry or tired. On August 8th (John Robert's Birthday) Eleanor will turn 8 months!

Most Overpriced Place in the US (click here for full article)

According to Forbes magizine Essex county (where we live) is the most overpriced place in the nation...even more overpriced than New York, LA, and Hawaii! So if you would like to visit us bring your wallet and we will show you a good time. John has more free time during the next few weeks as he is "only" taking a Hebrew reading course so we have more free time. So if you feel like taking a trip contact us if you would like to make reservations. Please specify if you would like the couch or the blow up mattress.

Daddys Girl

We lost some of our photos because our computer crashed. We got it fixed and these were some of the ones I had on my camera. John is able to spend more time at home now that he is finished with summer session 2. Eleanor is really enjoying her time with her Dad. The picture of her eating is the first time she tried to feed herself. She didn't actually get any food in her mouth but she loved squishing the advocado with her hands.

Getting organized!

I am trying to get our little family into shape! If you know me, then you know that I am NOT organized. You wouldn't describe me as someone that has things together or as a tidy person. In fact, I have often been told by mom that I would loose my head if it weren't screwed on and I think that she is right. (Mom and Dad are in Africa by the way). Anyway, to help me get organized I am going to try out an internet organization system called Fly Lady. I also recommend the Menu planning site (you don't have to be a mom).
Those of you that know me well also know that I don't stick to these things very well...time will tell.

The 4th Celebration

July 3rd:

9:30- Dropped John off at the school to take his exam and to do some research and Eleanor and I headed to the beach (well its a sandy bottom pond down the street). We hung out with other Seminary families and I think it was the happiest Eleanor has ever been. It is the first time she has ever gotten in the water. She only stuck her feet in because we couldn't stay long. She got to play with other kids, see dogs, be outside, and play in the water...what more could a girl want.

10:30 Nap

1:00 Jenny took Eleanor for a walk and watched her for a couple of hours while I cleaned a house for a lady that I am working for. John was still at the Library.

5:30 I cooked dinner from a website that plans out your meals, makes a grocery list, and gives you reciepes. www.menue4moms.com

7:00 Cherry Hill for Ice cream with couples from our building. The ice cream is some of the best around- I had moca chip and John had strawberry.

10:00 Watched fireworks at Danvers-very fun. Eleanor actually watched the fireworks and enjoyed hanging out.
