Week 31

So not much has happened in a week. My tummy looks exactly the same as I didn't gain any weight. The expected Due Date is exactly two months from yesterday. I have been blessed with an abundance of tiny baby clothes from a neighbor. Everyone is so nice here. I started substitute teaching Friday but I didn't get a call today. At my last appointment (Wed) my midwife suggested that I take iron supplements and to eat more protein in order to pack on some weight and boost my iron. I should be gaining a pound each week. I pass my time by volunteering at the Give and Take (sort of like a free thrift store for students at Gordon-Conwell) and I am also part of a Bible study in my apartment and I attend a class for women who have husbands at the seminary on Tuesday nights. Everything is going well. John really likes his classes and we watch Survivor on Thursdays to keep the tradition going.

Week 30

Look at that belly! I feel like I am getting bigger every day and Eleanor is moving all the time. Still feeling fine and trying to eat healthy and drink plenty of water. I crave fruit (apples, bananas, peaches, grapes, watermelon...) and sometimes brownies (but I craved brownies before I became pregnant) but nothing too strange. I have an interview on Friday for substitute teaching with the Beverly Public School system which is close by.

Corie, Dana, and Kristen, I finaly finished knitting John's scarf and it looks pretty good if I do say so myself...for a beginner anyway.

It is starting to cool down up here so fall is on the way.

About the baby: "Approximate length 15 to 16 inches, weight 3 to
4 pounds." We will be delivering the baby at Beverly Hospital www.beverlyhospital.org and we will be using one of the midwives through the affiliated Womens Health Center.

Week 29!

Today we visited the doctors office. Everything seems to be going well. My midwife tells me that I should expect to gain 15 more pounds! I feel stretched to the max already. I start going every two weeks for a check-up now. Last week we went into Cambridge to visit Harvard Square. It was a beautiful day. Each day the weather gets a little cooler. John's first day of classes start Friday, September 9th. He passed both of his Greek Exams so he gets to skip two classes!
